Stockton Foreshore Fitness Trails – City of Newcastle

The City of Newcastle launched a fitness station project, which included fitness stations in 6 locations along the Stockton Foreshore. After consultation with the local community, on design elements and other considerations, they installed a combination of ParkFit items at each of the 6 locations, along 3km of pathway, to suit a wide range of users. Products include: Bench Press, Push-up Bar, Chin-Up Bar, Shoulder Press, Stretch Station, Sit-Up Board, Aerobic Walker, Cycle Seat, Parallel Bars, Leg Lift/ Dip Bar, Sit-Up Board Inclined, Pylo Box Jump, Quad Extension.

Moreton Bay Regional Council – Blatchford Recreation Reserve

Moreton Bay Regional Council were planning an upgrade to turn a damaged underused netball court into a vibrant fitness facility. Their Landscape Architect created a concept incorporating some incidental training elements around a central training circuit. The peripheral design ideas included a Stretch Station, Beep Test track, custom Trapeze Ring Station, Static Jumps, Stepping Ladder, and other line marked fitness activities.

Accessible Outdoor Fitness

Orange City Council won a Sport & Recreation Disability Grant to create an outdoor gym for people who have disabilities resulting from vehicular accidents. Forpark were approached by Council at the Grant Application phase for advice. Because the ParkFit range is “flexible” in design, using a post and clamp system, we could accommodate height/level adjustments and rotate or space items to easily meet the specific requirements of such a project.

ParkFit installations for Canberra fitness initiative

As part of the ACT Government initiative to getParkFit installations across Canberra as part of fitness initiative people of Canberra active and outdoors, a number of parks were selected for the installation of ParkFit across the capital. ParkFit was installed at the Tuggeranong town park in Greenway, John Knight Memorial Park in Belconnen and Theodore oval in Theodore Each site includes an aerobic walker, parallel bars, leg press, trapeze rings and an overhead challenge.

‘Come & Try’ ParkFit – Launches a Success

During September, Forpark Australia hosted a number of ‘Come & Try’ days for its new ParkFit range. The Come & Try days were held in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth and were a huge success. The Sydney event was held at Gore Hill Park in St Leonards. Despite a rainy few weeks in Sydney, the launch fit in nicely between showers, and was attended by numerous local Sydney councils who enjoyed an informative tour of the equipment by a personal trainer.
